BANAN SAUDI INTERNATIONAL HANDICRAFTS WEEK 2024
Cre8mania was commissioned to breathe digital life into the Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan), an event dedicated to celebrating the rich tapestry of traditional craftsmanship in the Kingdom. Our objective was to create a 90-second centerpiece animation that honored the intricate details of Saudi heritage while presenting them through a contemporary, high-tech lens. The project required a full-service creative approach, translating the tactile beauty of physical handicrafts into a fluid, digital narrative.

What We Did
Our team managed the entire creative pipeline, beginning with concept creation and the development of a unique overall look & feel that balanced heritage with modern aesthetics. We moved into storyboard creation to map out a visual journey that transitioned through various craft traditions. In the production phase, we focused on scene design and illustration, creating a bespoke visual world where every texture felt authentic. We then executed a mix of 3D and 2D animation, emphasizing the rhythmic motion of the crafts. To complete the sensory experience, we handled the sound design, ensuring the audio perfectly complemented the visual flow.
The Results
The final animation served as a cornerstone of the event’s visual identity, providing a professional and evocative tribute to Saudi craftsmanship. By delivering a complete, high-definition creative animation, Cre8mania helped elevate the event's storytelling, making traditional arts accessible and engaging for a modern audience.
