IHERITAGE – BYBLOS ARCHEO GAME
iHeritage aims at developing new techniques to improve the Mediterranean UNESCO cultural heritage interpretation, taking advantage of new technologies and commercializing the latest research results. Cre8mania was chosen to introduce a cutting-edge interactive addition to Byblos’ UNESCO World Heritage Site promotion: ArcheoGame: a captivating immersive experience showcasing the town’s history across three key periods.

What We Did
Cre8mania conceptualized and executed an immersive model with dual projection that constitutes the heart of the experience, meticulously crafted to bring rich historical periods to life. A user-friendly menu displayed on an interactive touchscreen was also designed and developed to allow visitors to interact with the installation and select specific eras they wish to explore. The main objective of the experience was to give the public the opportunity to step back in time and witness the captivating evolution of Byblos. A tight collaboration with historians and archeologists from the DGA ministry of Culture in Lebanon, allowed our team to breathe life into Byblos' history as 3D modeling and virtual reconstruction were done in Unreal Engine and Blender. Coupled with a captivating audio guide offering in-depth information, Cre8mania produced an interactive and profound connection to the site's significance.
The Results
This engaging journey is prominently displayed at the Citadel near Byblos' entrance, making it easily accessible to tourists and history enthusiasts. By making history accessible and gamified, Cre8mania brought to life an experience that communicates Byblos' historical and cultural importance to a diverse audience.
