IHERITAGE – TALES FROM THE SKY, 3D MAPPING SHOW

iHeritage aims at developing new techniques to improve the Mediterranean UNESCO cultural heritage interpretation, taking advantage of new technologies and commercializing the latest research results. Cre8mania had the privilege to be chosen by iHeritage, funded by the UN and in collaboration with CCIA-BML, to conceptualize and execute a 3D mapping show on Byblos Port Fort.

What We Did

Cre8mania’s artists were trusted by iArt creative director Lucio Tambuzzo to produce a one of a kind show focusing on the idea of the sky as an intangible cultural space of Mediterranean people. Following an extensive research revolving around the show’s artistic concept and its relation to Byblos, the team conceptualized a full show comprising 3 main ideas: Byblos sky’s deities, Rituals & celebrations as well as Astrology & astronomy. Presenting mesmerizing 3D animations, captivating visual illusions and impressive sound effects, the show aimed at highlighting Byblos cultural heritage and presenting it on an iconic monument.

The Results

iArt Byblos mapping show was projected on Byblos port fort at the exact date of the equinox, with the presence of prominent personalities from the region. The event dazzled with its success as it delighting the audience and left an impressive impact. By bridging the gap between the past and the present, Cre8mania managed to make heritage more relevant and engaging to a diverse audience, promoting the cultural treasures of the region.
