Visual content designed for the surface
Projection mapping needs more than a video played on a wall. Openings, columns, corners and viewing angles shape what the audience sees. We develop visual narratives around these features, using animation and optical illusions to connect the physical location with the story. The creative approach can support a cultural programme, an architectural celebration, a brand event or a live performance.
From the creative idea to the final animation
Our published mapping work spans concept creation, 3D animation, projection content and sound design. The scope is defined for each production: the surfaces involved, the duration of the show, the content formats and the relationship with live performance. Technical production responsibilities, including projection equipment, playback and on-site integration, are agreed with the project team.
Baalbeck International Festival: The Sound of Resilience
For the 2020 concert at the Temple of Bacchus in Lebanon, Cre8mania developed 3D mapping visuals and animations for an hour-long performance. The content extended the musicians’ backdrop and followed the music, using the architecture as part of the visual composition. The project illustrates our approach to heritage settings and performance-led storytelling.
iHeritage: Tales from the Sky
For the projection mapping show at Byblos Port Fort, Cre8mania developed the concept, 3D animation and sound design. Working with iArt creative director Lucio Tambuzzo, the team explored deities, rituals, celebrations and astronomy connected with the Mediterranean sky. The animation translated that research into a visual narrative for the monument.
