IHERITAGE – AUGMENTED REALITY

iHeritage aims at developing new techniques to improve the Mediterranean UNESCO cultural heritage interpretation, taking advantage of new technologies and commercializing the latest research results. iHeritage, funded by the UN and in collaboration with CCIA-BML with the help of DGA, trusted Cre8mania to create and execute an AR brochure highlighting Lebanon UNESCO cultural heritage sites.

What We Did

Cre8mania’s multidisciplinary artists, seamlessly designed the interactive brochure making it eye-catching and easy to read while respecting the UNESCO CCIA-BML and iHeritage brand guidelines. The brochure showcased 3 of Lebanon UNESCO Cultural Sites: Baalbek, Anjar, and Tyre showing an image of each site. A QR code was created and placed strategically under every image for the user to scan. By scanning the pages with a smartphone or tablet, these historic sites’ 3D models can be visualized in the user’s space.

The Results

The AR brochures are prominently displayed online and at key tourist centers ensuring a wide reach. By bridging the gap between the past and the present, Cre8mania managed to make heritage more engaging and relevant to a diverse audience, promoting the cultural treasures of the region.
